Unbenji Ropeway

The ropeway is one of the largest ropeways in Japan, with a total length of 2,594 meters and a height difference of 657 meters to the summit station at an elevation of 916 meters, operating at a maximum speed of 36 km/h. It has a capacity of 101 passengers!
The distance between the No. 2 and No. 3 pillars is 1,884 m, making it the longest ropeway in Japan in terms of the length between pillars!
During the 7-minute ride, you can see the Sanuki Plain, the Seto Inland Sea, and if the visibility is good, Hiroshima and Okayama Prefectures, as well as the Seto-ohashi Bridge.

The Unbeji Temple is a popular destination for pilgrims visiting Unbeji Temple, the 66th temple of the Shikoku Sacred Sites, and for families and couples visiting the Unbeji Temple Summit Park,
The park also offers seasonal views of mountain cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangea in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snowy scenery in winter.
