Pear blossoms|Wada, Toyohama Town

Toyohama is the largest pear production area in the prefecture. Every year around mid-April, the hills are covered with pure white pear blossoms like a white carpet, a beautiful reminder of the coming of spring. Pears from Hounan come into season around the middle of August and are crisp, fresh, and high in sugar content, making them popular with people of all ages.
