The Neagari Pine is located straight ahead from Kotohiki Park toward Kannonji Junior High School.
It is a rare black pine that literally has the “roots” of an old pine exposed above the ground, with a height of about 3 meters and roots of about 1 meter spreading in all directions.
The exposed roots are thought to be the result of a combination of various conditions, including weathering of the ground and the age of the pine tree, and are truly an art form created by nature.
Pines that continue to live even after their roots have risen out of the ground are extremely rare and precious.
It is also said to be a place of rising prices, and is popular as a money-making spot for people praying for stock prices and higher salaries.
