Ibukijima Island|In the middle of the Seto Inland Sea.

Ibukijima Island is a small island at the westernmost tip of Kagawa Prefecture, with a circumference of 6.2 km and an area of 1.05 square km, located approximately 10 km off the coast of Kanonji Port, almost in the center of the Hisinada Sea.
Dried sardines are indispensable for Sanuki udon soup stock.
“Ibuki Iriko”, which is said to be the best among these sardines, is a regional brand that has been registered as a regional collective trademark.
Every year on March 21st of the lunar calendar, there is a pilgrimage to 88 temples on the island called “Oshikokusan,” where many pilgrims visit and are treated to traditional hospitality by the islanders.
In addition, cherry blossoms are planted on the approach to Takinomiya Shrine and Nakiri Fudoson, which is built in the hollow of a rock, and a cherry blossom festival is held on the second Sunday of April. There are stone gates and caves that have been carved out by seawater erosion, and there are legends that long ago warriors lived there in hiding, and that sailors hid there.
