History of “Chosa"
Enjoy with all five senses
The digital images projected on a large 300-inch screen that covers the entire wall and the sound from a speaker that boasts a bass level that rivals that of famous theaters are truly soul-stirring and powerful.
A real “Chosa” made by local residents is also on display. Visitors can experience the sound of the taiko drums and the weight of the 2-ton “Chosa” as it is carried.
Learn about “Chosa"
The various preparations leading up to the day of the festival and the complex assembly process of the Chosa are introduced on easy-to-understand panels, and the actual Happi (happi) and lanterns, which are the pride of each community association, are beautifully displayed.
There is also a fun quiz corner about the Chosa festival.
