Kotohiki Park, which is also included in Setonaikai National Park, is not only designated as a national scenic beauty spot, but is also selected as one of the “100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots” in Japan.
In the park, about 200 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino cherry trees, are in full bloom, telling us that spring has come. The stunning contrast of pink and green created by the cherry blossoms and approximately 2,000 old pine trees makes a stroll through the historic sites even more wonderful.
In addition, during the cherry blossom festival held every year from late March to early April, bonbori (paper lanterns) are set up and visitors can enjoy the fantastic night view of the cherry blossoms.
