The azaleas that bloom on the hill behind the yokujitsukan Resting Area in Kotohiki Park are all vermilion, almost crimson in color, a unique hue not often seen in other azaleas. The azaleas are usually at their best from mid-April, and the contrast with the fresh green of Mt.Kotohiki
The puddles of water that form after the rains reflect the scenery like a mirror, and if you are lucky, you will be able to see the beautiful scenery through the puddles.
