Sculpture Garden (Suibouen)|Contemporary Karesansui Garden

The Sculpture Garden is a stone garden and sculpture garden created by sculptor Masatoshi Izumi, located in the Suibouen, a funeral hall in Kannonji City.
The garden was constructed using traditional Japanese materials such as clay (kawara), wood, and stone, all of which are indispensable for Japanese-style houses.
In addition to the garden, there are works by Masatoshi Izumi both inside and outside the building. The stones placed on the lawn to the left of the entrance to the funeral home represent “family, friends, and people who lived their lives together.
